Job Description


Position:  Office Manager                 


Full time:  20 hours / Part Time NON-EXEMPT


­­­­­­­­­­­The Office Manager is responsible for volunteer recruitment and management, program data entry, facility and equipment management, donor acknowledgement and assists with program and agency promotion.


  • Develop and implement a procedure for recruitment of volunteers.

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and monitor volunteers.

  • Manage outreach requests and assign volunteers to fulfill requests as appropriate.

  • Acknowledge individual and foundation donors.

  • Assist “Open Hours” facilitators as needed.

  • Assist with facilitation of bi-annual volunteer meetings.

  • Collect data for on-site programs related to participant attendance, demographics, and program outcomes.

  • Produce and help distribute seasonal program books, program promotional material, outreach promotional material and other related design pieces.

  • Assist with equipment and facility management.

  • Update Facebook and website with program changes and schedules.

  • Participate on board of director’s fundraising committee.

  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree.

  • Lived experience with mental illness or caring for someone with mental illness helpful but not required.

  • Experience volunteering, and in volunteer recruitment and management.

  • Experience with promotional event and special fundraising events.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Strong time management and organization skills.

  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft programs.

  • Knowledge of community resources.

  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit and use hands.


Environmental Adaptability

Ability to work under safe and comfortable conditions where exposure to environmental factors such as repetitive computer keyboard use, irate individuals and intimidation poses a very limited risk of injury.  Work is generally performed in an office setting.

NAMI Welcome Center

The NAMI Welcome Center serves as our location for community supports and services.   Many of our educational and support programs are held at the NAMI Welcome Center.  Our recovery center services for those with mental illness are also located at the NAMI Welcome Center.  Everyone is welcome to stop in during our open hours.  We can answer questions regardng our recovery center, family programming, community educational opportunities as well as offer some basic information on community resources. Living with a mental illness has many challenges, our leaders understand.  The NAMI Welcome Center offers support in a comfortable setting.  There are meeting and activity rooms, internet service with computers, and a library. Stop in and say hi!



Wednesdays - 10:00 - 1:00 pm

Fridays - 11:00 - 1:00 pm
